This literally brought tears to my eyes. It is such a perfect description of what showing rabbits is all about.

My favorite part of showing is the actual showing part. From show to show, year to year, watching how much my stock have improved or digressed in the eyes of the judges. I very much enjoy learning about all of the different things that go into breeding a great show rabbit. All of the friendly rabbit people who are so generous as to give me a moment of their time when I have a question is a great help in every decision I make with my rabbits. Overall though, showing is just so much fun!

Being vegetarian or vegan doesn't necessarily make you healthier. The people who raise their own meat, like chickens or rabbits, etc, know what's going into their animals which in turn is going into their body.
Children can and should learn how to care for animals from responsible adults. What an incredible site to see little children taking care of animals and learning about life and death. Yes they can learn some of this from adopting from a shelter, but there are valuable things they can learn through the breeding and raising process as well!
